Rookie, but no Rookie!

Although I won the 2007 Rookie of the Year award at both Bloomington Speedway and Brownstown Speedway in the Modified division, I do not feel like a rookie. I have been racing in some way or other since I was 6 years old. But it was my first year in the modified class.

In 2007, I ran in the UMP Modified points race. I finished 6th in the state, 12th in the East region and 29th in the nation. I raced in 48 races in the season. I also finished 4th at Bloomington and 5th at Brownstown. I had 2 feature wins, one at Brownstown and one at Twin Cities. Although I wish I had done better, I did learn a lot that, I hope, will be beneficial to me in 2008. I will again race in the UMP Modified points race and I plan to race 50 races during the 2008 season. I will be at Bloomington Speedway every Friday night and plan to race at Brownstown Speedway and other Indiana tracks on Saturday night.

My goal for 2008 is to stay out front. Or at least finish in front.
