WaKEENEY, Kan. (July 29) – A $1,000 top prize and a spot on the 2011 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot are at stake in the Trego County Fair special for IMCA Modifieds at WaKeeney Speedway.<br />

Also on the Monday, Aug. 2 program are IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks racing for $500, $400 and $300 to win, respectively.<br />
 <br />
All applicable IMCA points, plus special events contingencies, will be awarded.<br />
 <br />
Pit gates open at 4 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 5:30 p.m. Hot laps are at 6:30 p.m. and racing starts at 7:30 p.m.<br />
 <br />
Pit passes are $25. Grandstand admission is $10 for adults and $5 for kids ages 6-13. Youngsters five and under get in free.<br />

FARLEY, Iowa (July 30) – The Deery Brothers Summer Series makes a long awaited return to Farley Speedway, headlining the Aug. 3 Tornado Tuesday show.<br />
 <br />
First place in the IMCA Late Model tour main event pays $2,000. All feature qualifiers get a minimum of $250.<br />
 <br />
Farley has hosted three previous series events, the most recent of them won by Jeff Aikey of Waterloo in 2003.<br />
 <br />
Jason Friesen of Sutton, Neb., won the 2001 event while current point leader Ray Guss Jr. of Milan, Ill., was first to the checkers the next year.<br />
 <br />
Guss already owns four series wins this season, boosting his advantage in the point race considerably with checkered flag runs in three of the last four tour outings.<br />
 <br />
Mark Burgtorf of Quincy, Ill., is a three-time winner while six-time and defending series champion Aikey has won twice. Rob Toland of Davenport has won once.<br />
 <br />
IMCA Modifieds are also on the Tuesday card at Farley, running for national, ButlerBuilt North Central Region and Allstar Performance State points.<br />
 <br />
Pit gates open at 4:30 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 5:30 p.m. Hot laps are at 6:30 p.m. with racing to follow. Rain date would be Wednesday, Aug. 4.<br />

Grandstand admission is $15 for adults, $12 for seniors, $10 for students ages 13-17 and free for kids 12 and under. Pit passes are $25.<br />

Bardstown, KY-July 25, 2010- Bluegrass Speedway track promoters David and Anita Ferrell will take this Saturday July 31 off, but will return with racing action to the ½ mile, high-banked Nelson County clay oval on Saturday August 7 as the track presents the 12th Annual Bluegrass 50, paying $5,000 to win for the 44 Auto Mart Super Late Models.               <br />

On Saturday August 7, the 44 Auto Mart Super Late Models will headline the racing card with a full program of practice, time trials, qualifying heats, B-Mains, and the 50 lap, $5,000 to win 12th Annual Bluegrass 50 A-Main.  Also in competition at Bluegrass Speedway on August 7 will be the UMP Modiifeds racing for $500 to win and WBRT 1320-AM UMP Sportsman racing for $200 to win, while the UMP Street Stocks are off.  For the August 7 racing event, the Super Late Model and UMP Sportsman divisions will time trial, while the UMP Modifieds will pill draw for heat race starting assignments.        <br />

Activities for the August 7 racing program will see the pit area open at 4:00 p.m., with the general admission area opening at 5:00 p.m.  A mandatory drivers meeting will take place at 6:00 p.m.  Practice will begin at 6:30 p.m., with time trials at 7:00 p.m., followed green flag race action at or before 8:00 p.m.  All times are EDT.  Ticket prices on August 7 will be $20 for adults, $10 for children ages 6 to 12, and children under age 6 free in the general admission area.  A pit pass will cost $35.<br />

Bluegrass Speedway last raced on Saturday July 24 and feature event winners included Steve Francis of Ashland, KY in 44 Auto Mart Super Late Models, Michael England of Glasgow, KY in UMP Modifieds, and Scott Beeler of Louisville, KY in UMP Street Stocks.<br />

Junction City, KY-July 25, 2010- Ponderosa Speedway track promoters Larry, Chad, and Sarah Yantz will take this Friday July 30 off as the 3/8 mile D-shaped clay oval better known as “Kentucky’s Baddest Bullring” will be idle.        <br />
<br />
On the original schedule put out back in January, the track was scheduled to be in action with a weekly racing series program on Friday July 30, but the track will now be closed and no racing action will take place on this date.        <br />
<br />
Ponderosa Speedway last raced on July 23 and feature event winners on that evening included Justin Rattliff of Campbellsville, KY in Good Neighbor Pharmacy Super Late Models, Bryan Barber of Greensburg, KY in Clayton Homes UMP Modifieds, Jeff Johnson of Junction City, KY in Bob Allen Motor Mall Pro Late Models, and Rick King of Junction City, KY in D&amp;D Pallet Recyclers UMP Sportsman.<br />

The Baddest Bullring in the South returns to action this Saturday Night Featuring the Street Stock Championship 20 Lap Main Event Plus the Commercial Dispatch Super Late Models, NeSmith Late Models, Open Wheel Modifieds, and Mini Stocks.<br />

On Saturday, July 24th the pit gate opens at 3pm with the grandstand gates opening at 5pm. The driver’s meeting is slated for 7pm with action at 8pm. DECORAH, Iowa (July 23) – IMCA Modifieds return to the northeast corner of the state next Thursday, July 29, when Upper Iowa Speedway hosts the sixth event of the JR Motorsports Hawkeye Dirt Tour.<br />
 <br />
The main event pays $1,000 to win and a minimum of $125 to start. Pit gates at Decorah open at 4 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 5 p.m. Hot laps are at 6:45 p.m. with racing to follow.<br />
 <br />
Grandstand admission is $12 for adults, with kids 11 and under admitted free. Pit passes are $25.<br />
 <br />
Rich Smith of Davenport is the new series point leader, after running sixth in the Tuesday night feature at Fayette County Speedway. Mike Jergens of Plover is now second, with Richie Gustin Jr. of Gilman, Josh Foster of Montrose and Mark Schulte of Delhi rounding out the top five.<br />
 <br />
Gustin is the top driver in point standings for IMCA’s ButlerBuilt North Central Region and is currently eighth in the national point race. Jergens is the leading rookie contender in the region. Previous series point leader Foster won two of the first five tour events but was absent from the field at West Union because of injuries sustained in a non-racing accident.<br />
 <br />
Darin Duffy of Hazleton, Gustin and Jeff Waterman of Quincy, Ill. also own Hawkeye Dirt Tour trophies thus far.<br />
 <br />
IMCA national, regional and Allstar Performance State points will be awarded for the show at Decorah, where local stock car and hobby stock classes complete the Weis Buick sponsored program.
