Dirt Scoops Question: Who is your favorite driver and who has inspired you the most?
Axle: My favorite driver other than my dad would have to be Billy Moyer. The driver that as inspired me the most would be my Dad.
Dirt Scoops Question: What win stands out most in your mind?
Axle: "The win that sticks out the most so far would have to be the night I won the heat race from the 5th starting position. The last lap I passed a car on the high side in turn 2, we hit on the back stretch, I climbed on his right door, L/F tire was in his right door window. We came a part going into to turn 3. I went on to win with a left front flat tire. The race I'm most proud of is the last night of 2007 because in the feature I led most of the race until a caution came out. Then I got passed on the restart and I passed him back on the last lap going into turn 2 on the bottom. Then I got put out in turn 4 but still ended up in 2nd.. Pretty Crazy Night!"
Dirt Scoops Question: Share some of your accomplishments in racing with us.
Axle: "I have back to back championships in the Go-Karts at Kankakee Thunder Valley Speedway. I got 8th place in points in 2006. My 1st year in a stockcar, I got 5th place in points and Best Appearing Car Award. I also had 5 Heat Race wins (4 in a row)."
Dirt Scoops Question: What advice would you pass on to another rookie getting in to racing?
Axle: "Don't get mad about things,.just try and be smooth, and learn how to get around the track. Most of all, have fun!" |

Axle would like to race at Eldora and Western Kentucky someday.
Dirt Scoops Question: What plans do you have for 2008?
Axle: "I will be bringing out a new car in 2008. A 1986 Mustang instead of my 1979 Pinto. I plan on running at Kankakee Motor Speedway, (at this time we don't have a promoter) I hope they still have this class in 2008. Otherwise I don't know where I'm going to race at."
Dirt Scoops Question: Who do you contribute your success to?
Axle: "My Mom and Dad for knocking some sense into me & helping me. My uncle Damon and my Grandpa (Pappy) for their help with leaf springs. My sister (Justine), and her boyfriend Jeff Olson for letting us borrow his truck on Friday nights to haul my racecar to the track."

Axle: "Well this year had its ups and downs. It seemed like I was putting the nose piece back on every week at the beginning of the year. But after those long talks from my parents every week, I straightened up a bit and all of a sudden I was in contention to win and started winning. I wasn't tearing my racecar up anymore. So, all in all it was a good Year."
