This months showcase driver for the Superstock Class is Bobby Griffitts!

 

On to the interview, in Bobby's own words!


1. How did you get in to racing?

"I first got into racing years ago with my older brother he raced sprint cars in Illinois at Jacksonville Speedway and Springfeild Speedway. I
started out as a wrench man and later on learned enough to drive, later building my own car but not having much luck at it, sold out and took a
few years off to later move to Indiana to get the itch to race again. I drove Norm Carpenters car."

2. Where are you from and where do you currently reside?

"I am originally from Illinois, but now live in Bloomfeild, Indiana."


3. Tell us about your family.

"I'm married to a wonder wife of 10 years, Melissa Griffiths. We have three great kids; Brandon, Dustin, and Tori. They all support me 100%!"

4. Tell us about the race team (who owns the car, etc).

"Me and my wife own the car. Jeff Dug an is a wrench man time to time, but mostly I do it all on my own, on and off the racetrack."


5. Tell us your career high lights.

"I would have to say my 1st year racing . We didn't wreck the car at all, and I got Rookie of the Year."



6. What tracks do you race at and where can fans go to see you race?

"We race the majority of time at Bloomington Speedway, but can be seen time to time at Paragon Speedway. We are hoping to race Brownstown Speedway and others this season."

7. What tracks would you like to race at?

"I would have to say Brownstown Speedway, Kokomo Speedway, and Putnamville".



8. What advice would you pass on to a rookie driver?

"Just be clean and have respect for everyone, just relax and learn, and don't try to win on the first lap."


9. Any events in 2008 or news to share about your plans in racing?

"None at this time."

"None yet, but fixing to change that in 08!"
